Witchford Village College is an expanding village college for Years 7 to 11 located two miles west of the historic city of Ely and we are part of the Eastern Learning Alliance.

We require an enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher of Science to join a successful and dynamic Faculty.  As a school, we are innovative in realising the potential of all our students and we offer an excellent, supportive environment in which to work.  There is an extensive CPD programme for all staff and the Science Faculty is highly collaborative, which leads to the production of excellent resources for students. Students enjoy their Science lessons, and the subject contributes to a Good, vibrant school with above average outcomes for students.

There is an extensive extra-curricular and super-curricular offer at Witchford with time given to staff to run activities that are within their specialism or broader interests. Students at WVC are each provided with their own iPad to learn in an engaging way.

We offer sector leading staff benefits alongside bespoke, high quality CPD programmes, cross-trust events, and exceptional opportunities for career development within our innovative family of schools across East Anglia.

  • We value our staff very highly, and prioritise our support for colleagues across all schools as a result.
  • We enhance life for students, staff and parents by working together as a community of schools.
  • We value world class outcomes in progress, attainment and development for all.
  • We are wholly inclusive celebrating diversity and understanding individual needs

This is an exciting time to gain experience in the school and Trust more widely.

The post provides an excellent opportunity for an ECT or experienced teacher and could be combined with leadership opportunities depending on the experience and interests of the applicant.

Our Trust is committed to equal opportunities, to safeguarding and the promotion of the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.  All staff are expected to share this commitment and undergo the appropriate checks.  All positions within the Trust are subject to enhanced DBS checks and satisfactory references.  Only applications submitted using the ELA application form will be accepted.  We do not accept applications by CV.
